Noteworthy: Jackson won the CIF Southern Section Division 2 girls shot put title at Moorpark High. Jackson set a personal best and established the third-best mark in the state this year with her toss of 43 feet, 8 inches. She also qualified for the Masters Meet at Moorpark High on Saturday. Jackson is among the favorites to win the state title. Only two girls from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame have posted better marks than her, and she has continued to improve as the season goes on.
