The annual San Gabriel Valley North vs. South All-Star football game for seniors will kick off Friday at Walnut High School at 7:30 p.m.

General admission is $15 for adults and $10 for kids, and tickets can be purchased at the game.

Walnut football coach Eric Peralta, who led the Mustangs to the CIF-SS Division 11 championship in the fall, will coach the South squad.

Azusa coach Mark Brownstead, who led the Aztecs to the Montview League title and a 9-2 overall record last season, will coach the North squad.

The South roster is headlined by Diamond Bar wide receiver Maddox Bernardino, the Hacienda League most valuable player and San Gabriel Valley first-team selection. He will continue his football career at Mercyhurst College.

Walnut’s big impact players, quarterback Salvador Quintanilla and linebacker Phill Cotton, join West Covina’s 6-foot-3 defensive lineman Nate Maggiore and Bulldogs running back Zach Requena on the South team. Bishop Amat wide receiver Dominic Rubio and defensive back Carlos Alvarez will also be part of the strong South squad.

The North squad boasts Maranatha’s talented quarterback, Michael Martin, to go with Baldwin Park standout wide receiver Isaiah Ariza, who was among the area’s receiving leaders last season.

San Dimas will send a trio of seniors from its talented squad: linebacker Dylan Lozano, receiver Carlos Alvarez and offensive lineman Jayson Oxon.

Azusa quarterback Nathan Naguez, wide receiver Jimmy Romo Jr., and Arroyo linebacker Nate Guardado and Glendora kicker Jack Norell are also part of the North squad
